PCAD to purchase 10th ambulance
During its regular meeting Tuesday, the Pettis County Ambulance District Board of Directors voted to purchase an additional ambulance and outfit a spare ambulance. The board had previously considered purchasing two new ambulances, but decided to split the costs rather than incur a one-time expense.
The new ambulance will allow an older PCAD ambulance to be used as a reserve, ensuring there is a back-up in case all vehicles are in use or if an ambulance is in for maintenance or repairs.
PCAD District 1 board member to resign
The Pettis County Ambulance District Board of Directors will appoint a new board member in the next month after District 1 Director Dave Clippert offered his resignation Tuesday.
“I’d like to make it very clear this isn’t in reaction to recent events. I’m selling my home and moving out of the District 1 boundaries so according to the bylaws I am unable to continue to be part of this board,” Clippert told his fellow board members.
