PCAD District 1 board member to resign

The Pettis County Ambulance District Board of Directors will appoint a new board member in the next month after District 1 Director Dave Clippert offered his resignation Tuesday.

“I’d like to make it very clear this isn’t in reaction to recent events. I’m selling my home and moving out of the District 1 boundaries so according to the bylaws I am unable to continue to be part of this board,” Clippert told his fellow board members.

The change will be effective at midnight April 27; Clippert will be at the next PCAD meeting, scheduled for April 25. During his remarks Clippert noted “it was an honor” to serve on the board and watch the district grow from the ground up.

“I am very proud to be associated with the Pettis County Ambulance District and to see the care, equipment and training that goes into providing Pettis County residents with ambulance services,” he said. “I’ve heard many compliments about the district and it’s been an honor to be part of that.”

According to bylaws the PCAD board will appoint a District 1 resident to fulfill the rest of Clippert’s term. During the meeting the board also voted on new officers: Greg Nehring will remain chair, Mike Layton was voted as vice-chair, Jim Bales will remain as treasurer and Alan Rohrbach will remain as secretary.
