Education

Ongoing education, both for Pettis County Ambulance District employees and the community, is of utmost importance to the district. Ensuring that all PCAD personnel have the latest training in medical techniques guarantees area residents will always have access to the best healthcare available when in an emergency or transfer situation.

PCAD conducts training classes three times each month to accommodate its three shifts. Classes cover areas of study required for re-licensing EMTs and Paramedics and provide continuing education credits for EMS or nursing specialty certifications. CEUs are provided through the Missouri Bureau of EMS Training Entity (#19505B) and are issued after successful course completion.

PCAD offers training to employees and other emergency service agencies in the area. Community training opportunities, including CPR and basic first aid, may be available in the future.
