The Pettis County Ambulance District has been awarded a $25,000 American Firefighters Grant to purchase safety coats for all PCAD employees. These “bunker coats” are what firefighters wear in dangerous situations and will help protect PCAD paramedics and EMTs from injury.
The Pettis County Ambulance District Board of Directors met with representatives from the Elks Lodge during its regular meeting Tuesday to discuss renewing a lease option on the current PCAD headquarters building.
The Pettis County Ambulance District will send its two newest ambulances to be used in Windsor, according to a PCAD meeting held Tuesday. This will bring PCAD’s total ambulance fleet to nine.
During its regular meeting Tuesday the Pettis County Ambulance Board heard the district may be able to start serving the Windsor area within two weeks.
The Pettis County Ambulance District Board of Directors heard an update to the proposed Windsor station during its regular meeting Tuesday.
By mutual agreement PCAD took over services for the Windsor Ambulance District in December, with plans to offer emergency medical and transfer services until WAD is able take over again, likely in several years. This month, PCAD closed on a residential home that will be used as a station for a crew and ambulance.
