The Pettis County Ambulance District will send its two newest ambulances to be used in Windsor, according to a PCAD meeting held Tuesday. This will bring PCAD’s total ambulance fleet to nine.
Administrator Mike Gardner said the two new transits, which PCAD took into possession last week, were nearly up and running with just a few minor things to be completed. Gardner noted the district has gone on 114 calls in Windsor since taking over for the Windsor Ambulance District in late February.
“Allan (Rohrbach, PCAD Board Secretary) and I went to a Windsor Ambulance District meeting recently and they are working hard at getting the district issues resolved,” Gardner said. “I think they’ve turned a positive corner, working to get WAD up and running.”
The Windsor station will also soon see a new bay at its headquarters site, which will house two ambulances.
The PCAD board also heard updates on its east satellite location on state Route TT. Board of Directors President Greg Nehring reported that while, “it might not look like much from the outside driving past, a lot of work has gone on recently.”
The station will soon see plumbing, electrical and HVAC completed, along with masonry work.
